Day 1 (Monday June 16, 2025)

10:00 am - 11:00 am. Check-In. Fields Hall. UP.

Registration/Check in to the Residence Hall, pick up your WAVE t-shirt, ID Card Creation and an Optional Campus Tour will also be available.

11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m.  Pilot Welcome Reception and Lunch.  Pilot House.  UP.

We are excited to welcome you and your family to campus and to our Pilot family.  All new students and their family members are then invited to join us for lunch and reception.  After a special welcome from University Vice President for Student Affairs and Inclusive Excellence Dr. Alvin Sturdivant, our student leaders will lead a new student mixer.  This first social event is designed to help everyone meet and interact with each other.  Members of the Health and Counseling Center will be present to answer questions about health and well-being.  The campus bookstore will be open for browsing.

1:15 pm - 3 pm. You’re a Pilot Too! Brian Doyle Auditorium (Dundon-Berchtold 004). P.

Parents and supporters play a crucial role in their students’ success at UP, and we are committed to supporting you. Join Dr. Alvin Sturdivant for a candid and practical session on how families can partner with the University to support their students’ academic and personal success. You’ll gain insight into the college transition, what challenges to expect, and how to stay connected in ways that empower your student’s growth and independence. Joining him will be Bryn Rose from Parent & Family Engagement, and the Directors of the Shepard Academic Resource Center,  Residence Life, and the Health & Counseling Center for an inside look at on-campus living, the essential services their teams provide, and the valuable resources available to help you support your student’s success.

1:15 pm. - 2 pm Registration Process Overview. Buckley Center Auditorium. U.

2 pm - 3 pm  Academic Advising. Breakout Classrooms Breakout Classrooms: Nursing, Dundon-Berchtold 031; College of Arts & Sciences, Dundon-Berchtold 130; Business, Dundon-Berchtold 133; Education, Dundon-Berchtold 134; and Engineering, Dundon-Berchtold 135. . U.

3 pm - 5 pm. Registration. U.

     Some students may need to take the math and/or language placement test in order to complete the registration process. Computer classrooms will be available for this task; Franz 107, Franz 125, Shiley 123, Shiley 206, Shiley 249, and Clark Library.

3 pm. Parents Depart. P.

5 pm. Hospitality. Fields Hall. U.

5:30 pm Dinner on Campus. Bauccio Commons. U.

6:30 pm. - 8 pm Open Gym & Recreational Activities. Beauchamp Recreation and Wellness Center. U.

A fun opportunity to try out our climbing wall, play basketball or volleyball, or attend a yoga or spin class.

8:15 pm. PlayItUP. Beauchamp Recreation and Wellness Center. U.

Form teams to work together and collaboratively solve puzzles throughout campus.

9:00 pm. Pilots After Dark Preview. Pilot House. U.

Test your knowledge with your new friends at this Team Trivia Night. 

Day 2 (Tuesday June 17, 2025)

9 am - 10 am. Continental Breakfast. Fields Hall. U.

10:00 am. Pilots Are... Bauccio Commons Dining Room. U.

Fr. Tim Weed, C.S.C, and Tshombé Brown will engage students in an exploration of the diversity of our campus, explore different identities, and introduce the idea of bringing your full self to your college experience.

11 am - 12 pm. UPside. Bauccio Commons Dining Room. U
